Typesetting & graphic design

Since 2004, I’ve worked extensively as a freelance in the graphic design industry, setting everything from newspaper ads to colour magazines. I’m extremely comfortable with QuarkXPress 6 and Photoshop – less so with Illustrator but I’m learning fast.

In the last couple of years I’ve been responsible for the production of a number of books (six so far and counting) for Fantom Publishing, including proofreading, editing, typesetting, photo retouching and layout, and even – for three of the books – cover design. The latest of these, the autobiography of BBC writer and producer Charles Chilton, is published in August 2011.
