My personal site is, among other things, a forum for some of my writing, but I’ve also written newspaper articles for money and in 2005 I was commissioned to write a short play for Heartbreak Productions.
More recently, I’ve brought my editing skills to bear on two interesting projects for Fantom Publishing, who have released audio versions of a couple of celebrity biographies: Godfrey’s Ghost, the biography of Dad’s Army actor Arnold Ridley, written and narrated by his son Nicolas; and Learning My Lines, the autobiography of actor Ray Brooks. For each of these I was commissioned to condense the original published books from 80,000-90,000 words down to around 30,000 – no mean feat!
